something i found while browsing for dos utils which might interest this forum.

3Small program to change instrument on a Roland MT-32 or CM-32L. No need to remember instrument codes, or start a huge sequencer program. Requires: MPU-401 MIDI-card and Roland MT-32, CM-32L or compatible synth.
