I will take a back seat on this thread for now...until that is the motherboard I ordered from Croatia arrives...hopefully in one piece 🤣
and thanks to Brian for his assistance/advice.
I hope to add a Lucky Star 5I-TX1 ver.1.31 socket 7 + CPU Intel 233MMX + 64Mb to my collection.
which hopefully will play nice with MrBios.
😉
I'm the proud owner of a new Texelec quad flop controller and hit the Windows 98 floppy controller issue. I applied bbuchholtz's patch, but it did not fix the issue on my PC. Windows 98 now boots to the home screen and I see all four floppy drives in Explorer, but any attempt to access any floppy drive gives me a "device is not ready" error (all drives work perfectly in MS-DOS).
I tried applying all known Win98 updates, then reapplying the four files from bbuchholtz (download/file.php?id=232092), but still no success. Any tips?
it needs to be restated that the windows 98 patch ONLY works with MR BIOS and NOT with the Sergey Kislev Multi Floppy option ROM included with these cards
