I have Wing Commander running on my DOS-PC. Today I installed the secret Missions from two DD 3,5" Diskettes.
When I select Secret Missions the Game says that the files are not installed.
So I compared the files on the disks with the files on the HDD: All there, some expanded.
Then I looked in the file disk.007. There is only the word "hello".
On disk.008 it says "disk8"
Both files are 8 Byte.
There are three other files: disk.001 to disk.003, Size 50 Byte.
They say "Wing Commander Version B1.9: HI 3.5 Disk 1" and then Disk 2 and Disk 3.
I assume that the game version was installed from three HD Disks. The disks from Secret Missions seem to be from an older version.
1) Are the files disk.007 and disk.008 correct?
2) Any chance that the game will work with Secret Missions?
