I'm having problems getting music to play in Batman: Forever the Arcade game. Sounds effects work fine. Sound card is Aureal Vortex 1. Is there a setting to enable that I'm missing? I'm new to DOS (running Windows 98SE and DOS) and still learning so maybe I'm missing something.

it's redbook. Make sure you can play and hear cd audio and keep the CD inserted.

DOS software that use redbook audio soundtracks games require an audio cable be connected between the disc drive and the sound card, and as mentioned the physical CD needs to be inserted into the drive.

As of now there's no software solutions to mount a disc image in pure DOS and get CD audio like you can in Windows/DOSBox, there's only hardware solutions like PicoGUS and ZuluIDE.
