Hello everyone, sorry if this has been answered before, I couldn't find anything in search so hopefully I'm not duplicating something already covered.

I've got an early P4 here with an AGP based TNT2 in it. It's running Windows 7 32 bit, using the standard generic video drivers. I don't think that Nvidia ever released a driver for Windows 7 for this card.

Is there a way to get a proper driver working for this? I appreciate it won't do all the Areo visual effects, I'm not bothered about that.

Any ideas warmly received 😀

(the obvious suggestion would be to change the card for something newer but I'm trying to avoid doing that)

Closest driver you can get is Windows XP one (61.77).
Don't expect much though (since it's just a DX6 class card).

Thank you 😀 That'll just install will it? Or is there some magic involved to make it work?

Totally understand that it's a DX6 card. It's not even for gaming really, mostly just 2D windows work. Will just be nice to be able to use all the supported resolutions and such.

I'll have a hunt around for that driver 😀

You have to force it through device manager (pick .inf from NV files driver unpacks and select "TNT2" from supported card 's list).
Win7 probably will have issue with it being non-WHQL, but you can disable that check if it's needed.
