Warrior Reporting.....

....a weird bug where the app thinks i've got some sort of NORAD-style multi-monitor setup (as in: 4+ monitors) or something among those lines. Some of the affected games include:

-F1 2001 (Image Space/EA Sports, 2001)
-NASCAR 2000 (Stromfront Studios/EA Sports, 2000)
-V-Rally 2 Expert Edition aka Test Drive V-Rally (Eden Studios/Infogrames Europe, 2000)
-Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider aka Sheep, Dog n' Wolf (Atari/Infogrames Europe, 2001)
-Wacky Races (Appaloosa Interactive/Infogrames, 2001)*
-Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (EA Seattle/Electronic Arts, 1998)
-Motorhead (Digital Illusions/Gremlin/Fox Interactive, 1998)

....and several others. No matter if it's the current version or them previous builds, it does the same on every one of the aforementioned games.

I'm hoping there's a solution or fix somewhere....

Greetings from #TheEnchantingIsland

"Display 16"

your system is literally telling it that it does.

....specially considering that this happens to be the only monitor i'm currently using on my #WarMachine thorough DisplayPort, that is....

How many displays do you have in the "Full Screen Output" combo box?

The name \\.\DISPLAY16 should not matter, the ordinal can increase if a new monitor is attached to the system.
For example, I have \\.\DISPLAY1 and \\.\DISPLAY5 for my monitors respectively.

Yup. "16"....despite switching my main -and only- monitor back to the "DP1" ("main") input on my current GPU (GigaByte RTX 2060). #JustConfirmed
-Should be marked as "DISPLAY1" though....-

Then I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by NORAD-style multi-monitor setup. The game window covers only the left-top part of the monitor, or sg like that?

#OH It's like the app acts up on me as if I've got more than 5 Monitors running at once, like NASA's Mission Control or, even, one of those Social Media content creators , which I actually don't and can't due to my limited budget.

Could you attach a screenshot plz?
And what do you get with default dgv configuration?

So....here's how the app's default configuration looks like:

He's asking for a screenshot of what your display actually looks like when running one of your problematic games. It's unclear what the "strange bug" is.

Well....the widescreen picture ingame actually looks rather stretched #StraightThorough....
-Like its the European Truck Racing Championship rather than the F1WC, if you know what I mean

So, the problem is that the output image is stretched?

1) If you use "unspecified" scaling mode then you have to set kept aspect ratio in the GPU control panel from your vendor (if possible)
2) You can try "stretched, keep aspect ratio" scaling mode through dgVoodoo, it generally works
3) You shouldn't force resolutions with different aspect ratios than the aspect ratio of the resolution set in the game.

2560x1440 is a 16:9 resolution, but the game resolution is supposedly 1024x768 or sg like that which is a 4:3 resolution, so the image will surely be distored because there is no support for "viewport extension".
I recommend selecting "Max *" resolutions in the resolution selector combobox, dgvoodoo will then calculate the actual resolution that is 1440p but has 4:3 aspect ratio.

I may try that when i turn my #WarMachine back on.
-Just recovered from a load transfer from the local power company....-

About that monitor detection glitch....

Whaddayaknow?! It fixed itself after "restarting" my #WarMachine following the aforementioned load transfer issued by my local power company. #Amazing
Now i'll be applying and testing them resolution settings as suggested and see what happens....

UPDATE: Now it looks amazing....after setting the scaling mode to "Stretched-4:3 Aspect Ratio (CRT-Like)" with 16x Anisiotropic and Max QHD resolution, no VSync and DIsabled T&L D3D Devices on an "nVidia GeForce 9800GT".
-Tried it with "Stretched-4:3 Aspect Ratio (VIC Ⅱ/C64-Like)" scaling and it looked AWFUL . #NotRecommended

Great! But why do you run it through DX11 FL10.0 on an RTX 2060? It's the lowest supported tier that even has some restrictions in regard of the implemented frontend API features.

That was part of the testing procedure....and yup: DX11\D3D11 FL10.0 appears to be quite limited in some of its implemented features. Switching over to DX12\D3D12 FL12.0 right away.....
