Can I get DOSBOX to display more than 1280x1024? If so, how?
Thanks!

If it's about Quake, 1280x1024 is the hardcoded resolution cap.

Sadly, this doesn't help.
I suspect those settings are for applications that directly access the video card.
My application uses a VESA driver, and it's the VESA driver that "draws the dots".
It would appear as if DOSBox does support VESA, but only modes up to 1280x1024. If I pick a higher res driver, 1440x1280 for example, I get "unsupported VESA mode" from somewhere .. likely the application.
DOSB0x-X also supports VESA and supports very hi res VESA. And for other apps, this hi res works fine. But for some reason I am unable to figure out, the app does not run under DOSB0s-X. It starts to load the "welcome" page, then stops, which I assume to be a crash.

It's not Quake, it's an old CAD package. (OrCAD)
You can see the implemented VESA modes here: https://sourceforge.net/p/dosbox/code-0/HEAD/ … 0_modes.cpp#l63
1280x1024 is the highest there. If you want more you have to add them yourself.

Thanks for this!
So, edit the file and recompile. A bit of a challenge, to be sure. Might have to wait for a snowy day ...
