I mean a place where the participants could post a message like "I wrote BASIC program…", "Recently created a little game, what do you think…" etc. etc.?

Yes please.
World's foremost 486 enjoyer.
That would be good to have instead of it being mixed in with posts from other sections.
+1
Yes, is a must!
A place, where we all could present our work, share ideas, ask for help/solution etc.
Yes!
Turbo XT 12MHz, 8-bit VGA, Dual 360K drives
Intel 386 DX-33, Speedstar 24X, SB 1.5, 1x CD
Intel 486 DX2-66, CL5428 VLB, SBPro 2, 2x CD
Intel Pentium 90, Matrox Millenium 2, SB16, 4x CD
HP Z400, Xeon 3.46GHz, YMF-744, Voodoo3, RTX2080Ti
Good idea. Don't think it will happen though (based on previous comments in the forum feedback topic).
Why not? Is it kind of technical problem?
100%
Intel 486DX2 66MHz
Intel Pentium MMX 233MHz
Intel Pentium III-S 1400MHz
Intel Pentium G3258 4600MHz
I would like that too.
About the interest issue - VDMSound, OpenGLide, et al sections anyone? A programming section would draw more traffic than that I guess.

Indeed what I've got in mind was "retroprogramming" in the first place — but of course any programming subject should be allowed. Why not?
My main interest is ML, Forth and Comal. But there are plenty of various compilers and interpreters — and programming tools — available at Vetusware and all over the Internet.
I'm sure this has come up before and yes its a good idea. a counter argument would be "well, there aren't a huge number of programming threads", there are quite a few - but maybe it seems lower because there isn't a focused place for them!
I'm for a programming section.

I'd be very much in favor of it... and I think it could be quite appropriate.
VOGONS = "Very Old Games On New Systems"
"VeryOldGames" means pretty much any game you develop would be of interest (especially if it "feels old")
"OnNewSystems" means software that might be appreciated include:
- Tools to help make new systems work better with older software.
- Tools to help make old systems more usable in todays environment.
I personally have been developing tools and other applications for *many* years (even before the PC), and now (retired) - I'm still developing a LOT of stuff! (It's always been a kind of compultion)
Lately I've also been working on releasing 40+ years worth of the source code to almost all of it (and ongoing as I create new stuff) - but places to announce/discuss this old-school material are growing more and more limited.
A few things that I think are "really applicable" I've talked about on VOGONS, mostly in random forums that "seem close" ... it would be really nice to have a forum specifically oriented to developers (and I can think of quite a few suitable sub-topics)

I like the idea.

There is such a section already - Release Announcements
In 2003, I voted in favour of joining the European Union. However, due to recent developments - especially the restrictions on cash usage - I'm hereby withdrawing my support. DOWN WITH THE EU!
OK, but not only that, as you surely see.
I'm working on wire-level circuit simulator - you can connect each wire of each chip together just like on a breadboard, but in code and then run your machine. The purpose is to build 6502 or Z80 based computers virtually and interactively use and test them before building them physically.
I would love to share it in an appropriate "programming" section.
"640K ought to be enough for anybody." - And i intend to get every last bit out of it even after loading every damn driver!
