Since we did movies, it is time for TV.

In no particular order except for the last one:

Breaking Bad
Game Of Thrones (Until the last two seasons... disappointed...)
Star Trek TOS (The new stuff the last decade is terrible. I refuse to watch it.)
Cosmos (The original Carl Sagan, not that Neil deGrasse Tyson crap)
Dexter
The Office (American Version)
Battlestar Galactica (Both Versions)
Stargate (All except for Universe)
Fawlty Towers

But Number One:
The original Magnum PI

Here's my list:

  1. Stargate: SG1
  2. Star Trek: Deep Space 9
  3. Stargate: Atlantis
  4. Star Trek: TNG
  5. Babylon 5
  6. Game of Thrones (minus season 8 which sucked)
  7. Star Trek: Voyager
  8. Star Trek: Enterprise
  9. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  10. Smallville

I really hope the new Stargate show will be good, but knowing that Amazon is in charge, I have some reservations. Also, modern trek (everything after ENT) is utter garbage.

Justified
Boardwalk Empire
Two And a Half Men
For All Mankind

I'm not really into TV shows so I can't list 10. The best I can do is 7.

Quantum Leap
Breaking Bad
House, M.D.
Star Trek: TNG
Mystery Science Theatre 3000
Cheers
Night Court

[Edit] I thought of another one.

Dark

MST3K is a good choice.

Um.. Some all time classics that come to mind.
1. Knight Rider
2. Magnum Pi
3. MacGyver
4. Battlestar Galactica 1980
5. Airwolf
6. 6 Million Dollar Man
8. Space: 1999
9. Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction
10. Sliders

Narrowing it down to 10 is very tricky. There are other interesting shows, too.
Such as FarScape, Lexx The Dark Zone, StarTrek, B5, Space: Above and Beyond, TimeTrax, Andromeda etc.
Then there are many darker cartoon series from the 90s, such as Batman: The Animated Series or Bob Morane.
I could go on and write many pages about it. Darkwing Duck maybe is worth mentioning, too.
The Batman series of the 1960s is funny as h*ll, too! 😁

Leaving out Star Trek, because TNG, DS9, VOY and LD would just occupy four places. 😀

1. For All Mankind
2. Schitt's Creek
3. Barry
4. Black Sails
5. Murderbot
6. Banshee
7. Severance
8. Spy x Family
9. Silo
10. 3rd Rock from the Sun

For today, not in order...
Red Dwarf
Firefly
Detectorists
Halt and Catch Fire
Mr Robot
The Boys
Better Call Saul
Fallout
Stargate
Saving one place for rotating 80s nostalgia pack... A Team, MacGyver, Quantum Leap, TNG, D0H, Airwolf, Knight Rider, Blue Thunder, Magnum, Miami Vice etc

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

its difficult, i did like breaking bad and better call saul - but they took me a long time to watch, i just can't binge watch and sometimes took weeks between episodes

of the many star treks i liked original best, i did like voyager - often more than tng. just a few seconds of any clip of any post enterprise star treks puts me off though, its just... not, it just looks strangely unrelated to space exploration. likewise none of the many star wars derived series has ever interested me

i remember liking the first season of Earth: Final Conflict way back, then thinking it had totally lost it by the second season!

i cant say they're still a favorites but i like magnum pi, chips, airworf, knight rider - pretty much all those simple good v bad with added vehicle type shows. starsky & hutch too

The Office (UK & US)

That somehow reminds me of the The IT Crowd! 😁
I find it more funny than, say, The Big Bang Theory, but the latter is more popular for reasons that are beyond me.

Hi! I remember this! 😁 It aired in early 2000s where I live.
I liked how ergonomic/organic the gadgets felt.
It did remind me of the sophisticated tech designs of Sony Vaio/Clie of the time.

OK, this is going to be a weird list, but here goes

1. Twilight Zone ('60s series. No others need apply)
2. Outer Limits ('60s).
3. Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1950s-60s)
4. One Step Beyond... (1959-61)
5. Dragnet (1950s and Dragnet '67-'70)
6. Streets of San Francisco (1972-77)
7. Night Gallery (1969-73)
8. "In Search Of..." (1976-82)
9. Columbo (1971-76)
10. Emergency! (1970s)

... and a couple of cartoons for pure unabashed retro enjoyment... "Scooby-Doo" (1969-77) and "The Smurfs" (1980s).

NB: "Star-Trek" (1966-69), while interesting and novel at the time, actually doesn't rate in my top 10. "X-Files" (1990s) was only good in its first 3 seasons, while "Law and Order" (1993-) was only good in its 1st-2nd seasons.

There's many well known series I haven't seen yet, such as Dark, The Sopranos, The Wire or Mad Men.

That said, here's my list (no particular order):

  • Twin Peaks
  • Breaking Bad
  • The Office US
  • The Sinner
  • Mindhunter (damn you to hell for cancelling this, Netflix)
  • The X-Files
  • Police Squad!
  • Succession
  • 24
  • True Detective*

* Season 1 ONLY (I consider the other 3 seasons a different series, one that would sit comfortably on a "bottom 10" list of shame)
