Full version runs fine on my Mach 64 VLB BIOS 0.031, (Not running M64VBE as I didn't know about it)
Full PC spec here: Osbone 486 DX2 66 VL-Bus (My 1st PC ever)
Maybe take the sound card out completely, try everything in different slots?

Well I got a 3D Rage II and same thing. I also tried taking out my sound card then running the game. Same result 🙁

I know this is a old thread but I finally figured out what the problem was. Thought maybe id share just in case anyone else had the same issue. In my bios settings all I had to do was DISABLE, CPU->PCI Mem Post Write Buf. Once I did this Duke 2 and a couple other games I was having problems with worked perfect on my ATI Mach 64.

Well, that was it! I was looking for a solution for the Duke Nukem II (Duke Nukem 2) blank/black screen issue for quite some time.
Disabling the "PCI Mem Post Write Buf" in the PCI CONFIGURATION SETUP in the BIOS fixed it for me.
Thanks a lot!

PS.: My machine is a 486 (Am5x86 @133MHz) with a SIS 496/497 chipset (ATC 1425B Mainboard, BIOS VER:2.1W 11-04-95).
