I have 2 exact motherboards for 486 system socket 3 Soyo Sy-025K0 one with old battery and this one with new one i repaired broken traces from old battery leakage and it's operational but i don’t know why its not recognising 72pin ram modules. Calling with beeping noises every time that it has no ram. Second board with old battery shows up without issues both sets 30pin and 72pin. The board with new battery boots up without issues on 30pin modules all 4mb but i doesn’t want to boot up with 72pin.
Things what i have already done. Swapping Cache, bios and other socketed modules from old to new one. Both MBs has same jumper settings same cpu intel 66mhz. I didn't desoldered 30 pin sockets to see if there are any damages from battery leakage, i haven’t made a proper tin of old traces but should be fine.. Maybe thats the issue?

Maybe somebody know what's going on with this?

Was there lot of battery juice? might have leaked under simm sockets. Not the fastest but perhaps easiest: get a multimeter and compare resistances to ground between 72pin sockets of two boards pin by pin.

1) can it run with just one 72pin simm ?
2) is there a jumper to set 72pin or 32pin ram? or can you run at the same time ?
3) is the ram fpm or edo ? can the board suport both ?

@ rasz_pl i will look on this by multimeter and damage was something like this

@nuno14272 Yes it can on second board without replaced cmos battery posts with one 72pin ram which i tried on first board it's samsung module kmm5321000cv-7.
There are 3 jumpers to boot up in 30pin and 70pin and mixed settings and this board supports both fpm and edo rams.

sim6 socket pin 3 bend, more might be bend or broken off

Oh my freakin heck i haven’t noticed it before ! I looked on every pin and straighten it up and NOW its posting 😁 but its showing memory size incorrectly it's an 8mb size ram module and it shows only 4mb or 1mb depends on mood. But still i bought this mb like 2 years ago and didn’t had any signs until i cleaned it up again about 2 months ago. So it starting to posting but kinda fussy.

One more update i put 2x 72 pin 4mb and woth 4mb shows up whole 12mb. I think we are ok with this but sometimes it doesn’t recognise that it has plugged keyboard. So more work to do maybe clean with contact cleaner again this chip nearby 30pin simms?
