I purchased a SB16 and the card is detect by both the UNISOUND driver and the official creative ones but when trying to play sound effects there is a loud static, music effects play as expected

I was wondering if a smarter soul that me could point me in the direction of possibly trying to repair it, what the issue could be I am clueless
