As many of you know the latest Nvidia driver version that works with Windows Xp is the 368.81 one. Despite being the latest it has a couple of drawbacks including the custom resolutions option in the Nvidia Control Panel being greyed out, thus prohibiting the use of non standard resolutions or the use of the cvt-rb standard that enables using higher refresh rates, so in turn many users opt for the use of older driver versions, such as the popular 355.98. I recently discovered a very simple solution to this problem. It's a little software called "Windows Enabler" developed by Stephen Hewitt and it's latest version is 1.1. You can download it from various locations such as this: https://filehippo.com/download_windows-enabler/, it runs in the taskbar and it simply enables every greyed out option present on your system including the aforementioned custom resolutions one.
