Hello.
My system now has a nice 500gb SATA Velociraptor boot hard disk (single partition) running Windows Millennium Edition.
Given this speedy disk has a heatsink I think it goes' well with the Socket 478 4.3Ghz Prescott CPU. (like a heater)
I have installed R. Loew's high capacity disk patch for 48 bit LBA and its running very nicely.
What I need to find is solutions to check the disk for errors and to defragment it so I don't have to take it out of my machine either in windows or outside.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

discovered Hirens boot CD V15.1 has the tools to check and defrag massive FAT32 disks.
good for systems too old to boot from USB but new enough to handle windows XP.
