Hi,
I have searched the internet and these forums and can not find an answer to this problem so here goes.
I want to be able to play the game in windowed mode, so I press alt Enter to switch from full screen that works fine. Then I set autolock to false in the config file since I have other windows open on my windows xp machine. I play the games casualy on the side while I work, but for my work I need somewhat quick response to switch back and forth (do not worry I am self employed).
Idealy, I want to be able to drag my mouse off the game screen to click on other applications, and then click back on the gamescreen to play. I switch back and forth a ton, so even though it works to press ctrl+f10 to autolock the mouse in the gamescreen, that is a big hassle to have to press it twice just to switch to and from an application.
Here is the problem more specificly. Once I turn autolock off I can drag the mouse outside the game screen, but when I drag it back the game does not recognize it. The game screen mouse cursor just freezes there when I press f10 and when I drag back on the screen it is still there. Right clicks register (only in that exact spot where the cursor was left when I turned auto lock off). My desktop mouse also exists but the game does not recognize it. Onlt when I press ctrl+f10 the windows mouse cursor turns into the game cursor and I can play again.
Is there any way I can just drag off the screen and use other apps, then when I drag back on the game mouse cursor recognizes my mouse cursor and movement becomes functional again without having to use ctrl f10? Even if I had to click on the game screen to accomplish this I would be very happy, but at the moment the only way I can get the game to respond is to again press ctrl f10.
If there is no way to get it to work the above way, could I atleast somehow change the ctrl +f10 command to be a different key like spacebar? I only use dosbox for point and click games so spacebar would be much easier to press quickly then f10.
Sorry that was lengthy, I didn't know how to explain the issue in a more consise manner ...
