I am actually building a win98 PC (G41M platform).

It is realistic that my DDR3-1600 CAS9 ram can clock at 1066 MT/s with CAS5 timings ?
typical DDR2 ram timings are between 4 and 6...

#1 K6-2/500, #2 Athlon1200, #3 Celeron1000A, #4 A64-3700, #5 P4HT-3200, #6 P4-2800, #7 Am486DX2-66

Maybe, check/post the SPD information. Below it looks like CAS 6 @ 1066 MT/s is supported, it may be possible to overclock and use CAS 5.

One of the few rules between different versions of ddr memory is that the timings always increase, in fact at the same frequency older version of ddr are usually faster, the advantage of the new generation is the increased density and speed when it comes to mhz.
