Hello VOGONS,

I need help finding the right RAM for my t3200sx

Looking for people who know about these machines and their siblings (t3100e, t3200, t5200 etc)

I wish that damn toshiba didn't use propiretary simms but oh damn well.

Ebay is fine but i also found another site that has plenty of other simms which might work, including some 4 chip toshiba ones which i read will probably work.

This is that site : https://www.a1used-computers.com/Vente-de-Mem … SIPP-9-789.html

I have read in multiple places that the machine uses propiretary 30 pin simms, specifically 4 chip or 6 chip ones instead of the usual 3 or 9 chips and i think that i may have found compatible ones.

These are the links i found:
https://www.a1used-computers.com/fiche-1Mb+30 … GOLD-51198.html
https://www.a1used-computers.com/fiche-1Mb+30 … GOLD-51199.html

I have read that hypertec ones work too:

Thank you.

I need ram for my t3200SX, i have been looking on a1used-computers.com/Vente-de-Memory+++30pin+SIMM+SIPP-9-789.html but ebay is ok too.

THANK YOU

Been there before, i can't find any 6 chip ones for sale, and there isn't really much info on what exact simms are ok... only that most IBM ones will work comfortably.. maybe il try that route since those are more well documented machines and i can find out exactly what simms are ibm and which arent.
Thanks

The Simms I saw modded were standard 4mb modules

6 chip are almost always double sided 512kb, 2mb and 8mb Simms which were almost always used in equipment and printers, not PCs
