Here´s a little batch file for all the necessary register settings after startup:

It´s for 512K / 2-banks L2 cache and it assumes that both the "port.exe" for VIA registers and the "et586.exe" for setting Cyrix 5x86 settings are present in the respective directory.
I hope this is useful for those trying to max out the FIC 486-VIP-IO and alike mainboards.

Please note that under these settings RAM (60nS) and SRAM chips need to be selected very carefully to ensure stable operation!

Thanks for the tips I tried the registers in my 486-PVT motherboard with a AMD 486DX-100. Went from 30.8 to 37.2 fps in doom benchmark. and memory read from 10 mb/s to 28.9 (by cachechk)
