The "relative performance" columns are simply the cores x clock and mem x width x clock.
They aren't expected to be an accurate representation of the real world, but they should be useful.

Ok, so it finally arrived, but I have found myself with a frustrating roadblock, for some reason the HD 6870 doesn't want to boot (it doesn't show any image) in any of my LGA775 motherboards, I know the GPU works because it boots just fine with other boards I have tried (it worked on an AM3+ and LGA1150 motherboard), and I know the PCIe slots in the LGA775 boards I have work too because they don't have any booting with a 3060Ti (PCIe Gen4 btw).

What is more frustrating is that I already had another LGA775 board on the way (P45, see my WIP in signature) and I now I fear it won't work on it.

LGA775 boards I tried:

  • Intel DQ45CB
  • Intel DG31PR

Both are Intel boards, so maybe with the fancy P45 being Gigabyte it won't have any issues but still, it still is an Intel chipset.
I tried with UEFI and BIOS and both gave me no image.

Flash the bios bios.
Not the UEFI bios (if avoidable.)

The GPU or motherboard BIOS? Because the Q45 MB is already in the latest bios.

Eg if you happen to have this bios

It's UEFI.
Which, depending on the size of the rom may or may not have classic bios support.

Find exactly what bios you have and find it on that site. If it is a purely classic bios you should be good but it may need updating.
If it is uefi only, you might have to flash it to classic bios only.

Again, it depends on the size of the rom chip. Some cards of that era had a switch between 2 roms to choose bios or uefi mode.

There's also a very remote possibility your board is uefi only or somthing.

According to techpowerup the BIOS my SKU ships with shouldn't have UEFI support:

I'll just wait until the P45 Gigabyte motherboard arrives, if it doesn't work it then I flash an alternative BIOS on it.

The HD7770 was my GPU before I bought the RX480 and I must say it was one of my best GPU purchases ever, definitely go with that one.
