Hey guys,

I decided to keep working on Loopynes from the original code, fixing little stuff step by step:

  • Added VSync.
  • Scanlines mode now has a better refresh, works fine on 14" CRT.
  • Sound fixes:
  • NOISE channel is now correct, games like Contra don’t make horrible noises anymore.

Binary attached, tell me if you try it!

Nice. Besides Nesticle. I really liked smaller and faster LoopyNES, but one of my favorite game is Contra. So it was always problematic. Nice fix.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

thanks i will upload a new version soon, with fix for some roms based on names

This is awesome! Got my old 486 out from my childhood and restored it.

Glad to see this high speed emulator in development again. Kind of want to get my feet wet with such stuff as well (emulators and also making new games for old 8 and 16 bit systems).

Are you still developing this?
