I got an AWE 32 CT4330 today, and looking for drivers, I saw online another CT4330 but that one has an U5 chip soldered, mine don't.
Looking further I found few more pictures online and figured out is a RAM, maybe for the sound sets, I found the RAM online and ordered 10, since they are used in several old video cards (gm71c4260aj70) I'll solder that ram and see if anything changes.

Does anyone here ever did that ?

Looking at the pics there might be some small surface mounted components on either side of the ram chip, you'll likely need to add those to your board as well.

Unisound should get at least the sound blaster 16 part of the card working.
Might need to add blaster variable to autoexec.bat
