ISA8 multicard (floppy, lpt, com, game ports) with real-time clock onboard
Need help? Begin with photo and model of your hardware 😉
I/O and RTC (hence Varta bomb) board?
The cables could lead to a parallel and game port?

Yeah, some kind of multi-I/O card - RTC, serial, parallel, floppy (has an 8272 chip, so that's what the edge connector at the rear will be), ribbon cables are possibly joystick port and maybe another serial port. Although, it obviously wasn't functioning with two serial ports, considering that one of the 8250 UART chips (and a couple of other chips, probably RS-232 transmitter and receiver) in the middle is missing.
Magitronic does appear to be a company that made expansion cards, but I didn't see this particular one listed for them on The Retro Web.
But that battery has obviously leaked and corroded a whole bunch of stuff, so I would be amazed if anything worked. Unless it cleans up well, probably a write-off. 🙁
