Greetings,
On modern systems, Fable: The Lost Chapters tends to have an issue with the music stuttering, which is less than ideal. The fix for those people, that I've come to find, is to run the game in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. But uh... What if your OS IS Windows XP SP3, and you're having this issue?
I've tried to Google this issue for a while now, and I did come across one result that seems to suggest that disabling EAX could fix it, but I'm not really sure how to do that. I'm using an original Audigy, with the Daniel K final support pack, if that helps. It's also worth noting, that the game seems to have the music stutter the most, if it's looking at a character whose mouth is moving, or if I put inputs to the game, to, well, actually play it.
Id deeply appreciate it if anyone would know of a possible way to fix this. This is a big childhood favorite of mine, and this music stuttering issue is highly unfortunate, since the music in this game is so beautiful. None of this is helped by the fact that the PCGamingWiki keeps going down, at least in the time as of 2 hours ago that I was trying to look this up and fix it.
For anyone who is curious, the specs of my machine are as follows:
Intel D865GLC
2GB DDR PC3200 RAM
Pentium 4 2.26GHz (came with the board, not the CPU I want to use long term, that would be a 3.4GHz hyper threaded CPU, which is not in the mail yet)
Sound Blaster Audigy SB0090
ATI Radeon 9600 XT
Startech St1000bt32 Gigabit Ethernet Card
