I recently threw together a PC with some old parts I had laying around.
Then, at first, I installed W2K Pro, all the drivers and there were no issues. After that I installed Win 98 SE and all the needed drivers.
However, in 98 the GPU is always in "PCI Mode", and I can not enable "AGP Texture Acceleration". I may not need that but the fact that I can't enable it tells me that something is wrong.
I have tried several nvidia drivers, from 30.x up to 45.x and several Intel Chipset drivers, but nothing makes any differnce.
In W2K I get "AGP 2X" and texture acceleration, that is with just some random driver version, probably 45.x. But because of DOS I would also like a fully working 98 system.
Hardware is 440BX chipset and some Geforce2-equivalent AGP nvidia GPU (Elsa Gloria III?).
Is there any specific drivers that I should use for this combination?
