It loads both .sf2 and .dls. Yes, this means you can load GM.dls directly with it. (it's in \windows\system32\drivers)

Now it doesn't quite sound like a real sound canvas still, but it does the best job so far of any other sf2 based synth with it.

In the future, i'm hoping that it AB compares well with output of Nuked-SC55 when used with a sf2 converted from mkii roms.

In the meantime, the midi is a great test case for sc55mkII emulators, and spessasynth is the closest thing i've seen to a truly GS compliant sf2 synth, including GS NRPN support. It even supports insertion effects, though they still need work.

It totally owns MS GS synth for sure.
