It's looking great so far, just wish he would open source this so other people could help out

I can't or I face a lawsuit. The terms of me having the source is that I couldn't distribute it. I can make binaries however.

Anyway, progress has been made with gutting the old Win95 sound API stuff, and moving over to SDL_Mixer, so I can finally support other platforms hopefully soon.

Video just showing that panning is finally working properly:

This is incredibly solid for an initial release. Looks and plays awesome.
I noticed only a minor issue so far: Cannot use afterburner while controlling the ship. Fixed in new Alpha 0.2
New HUD and cockpit is very well designed and I liked it very much, but it'd still be nice to have the old one as a choice.

Congratulations on finally releasing your hard work to the public, but it's a shame about the NDA stuff. That's also something Daikatana 1.3 suffers from and as a result has usually ended up having people reluctant to pitch in developer support as this also ends up cutting down a lot on what you *can* even legally use in such a project. GPL and other copyleft licensed code has to be effectively avoided and practically re-invented the wheel about.

It'd be great if the rights holders just re-licensed the underlying engine to something like "MIT License" but if it can't be helped it can't be helped I guess.

Some of my friends are now wondering how much of the Hellbender side can end up powering the old Monster Truck Madness games.

Finally had the time, to try out this v0.0.1. Congrats on the first release! Looks and plays great! Appreciate the three-games in one feature and the joystick configuration options.
