a lot of series are good, and there's plenty to see on various streaming services, even free/advert ones

but over the last 10-15 years a given series seems to have more seasons and longer episodes than before, I'm not sure how true that is but it seems to be.

People binge watch, i just can't do so many hours and i find myself evaluating whether or not to watch a series based on how many seasons and how long episodes are rather than just reviews and genre! Films too, so many films are well over 2 hours and they just don't need to be

back when things were broadcast i think there was a discipline about it, forced into allocated tv slots, condensed by adverts and seasons having long gaps - so you watched something with 6 seasons over what could amount to 6 years sometimes! now if its on streaming you cant rely on it staying on platform for 6 years, you cant pace yourself with confidence and each episode is often 50+ minutes, sometimes variable, some episodes can be even longer

A lot of episodes of recent series are way too long and give way not enough.
I also don't have all that time to waste on something that has no real pace because of $$$ they make.

Some series are rotting corpses that still make money.
I loved the first 3 series of The Walking dead. After S3 I switched to recaps.

The fact that you don't own a copy makes streamers king of your money.
Back to DVD or BR it is. Crazy! 😀

The Boys

Finale wasn't bloody enough, just a shower and not a bath...
Jokes aside I hoped for a longer episode and more satisfying endings for other plots, characters and aftermath.
Well, it was a nice diabolical ride since 2019.

I thought it was alright with one exception.... Terror should have died in combat with teeth sunk into some part of Homelander so he could go to doggy Valhalla. 🤣

Edit: Oh yeah, quick headsup, original MacGyver is streaming on demand for free on PlutoTV as is all the Stargates. The ads are only as bad as the non premium but yet paid tiers of other streaming services.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Die or not but, yeah, a sore bite 🤣
Online some ppl wanted him on V.

I'm going to read the comic series, looks way more disgusting.
I can understand why they didn't put many of those super heroes in the TV show.

Plus, print material always supports more characters than screen, because you can flip back and check and doesn't really kill the immersion, whereas screen adaption has to flow more and not have anything that needs more than a quick starter recap to stay in mind.

Dear Lord of Silicon, I'm in for quite a ride...
This is no kid material. I like it.

Sounds like a slightly darker remake of the old Australian show "Round the Twist"
