Does my Asus P4C800 Deluxe fit in the Intel 3.4Ghz SL7Q8? I've tried to run it but I guess it doesn't have the information in the bios to run it. Maybe I have to modify my bios. Thanks!!!

Could it run it or could it be fixed with a microcode update? Or I'm just wasting my time here.. I know it needs Intel 915 chipset but I thought this Asus board might be capable as well.

Cool CPU 😁 It most likely just needs a bios update, get an older CPU and update the bios to the latest version.

https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/15620 bios files available on the retro web, probably can still get them direct from Asus too!

The thing is that I have the latest beta bios but it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Reset the bios? I guess it does have the microcode in there.. Or not? As I've read on the web, 875P supports this version of CPU.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it should work then, the CPU could be bad. Maybe try the latest non beta bios? 478 CPUs are very tough, very unusual for them to go bad from my experience, hope it is ok!

It seems okay. I'll downgrade the bios then.
