I don't speak 11, but in other windozes you'd be looking for something like management console, task scheduler I would think.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

So made some progress.

1) I found the setting in the BIOS that was turning the thin client on every evening. I just needed to look harder.

2) The best video setting for dolphin for me @ 4k resolution is:
* leave vsync, texture filtering and antialiasing off
* set the render resolution to “ Auto (Multiple of 640x528)”
* use vulkan.

We had been wading though some muddy looking, poor performing sections of Twilight princess with other more complicated settings. I had been too tweak happy. Went back to the basic settings @ 4k and the performance improved and the games look better than I thought possible. Textures, lines, & hud are very crisp and vivid.

Next step is to see if I can stop the sound stuttering at the odd times when the frame rate is below 30.

Some game cube games have an annoying audio crackling when frame rates drop below 30. The most likely culprit is that the Ryzen 1756b processor in the HP t740 is comming up a little short on the single threaded performance at times. I looked into mini cubes with better single threaded performance like an i3-14100 or a ryzen 6900HX. The bare bones units are affordable but the cost of the RAM is problematic. I put a geforce 1030 card in my mother-in-law's PC a couple years back. Maybe I grab that for the t740 and see if getting off the integrated graphics give it enough of a boost, either by reducing memory contention or increasing the time the CPU can run with boost frequency.
