Help with Keyboard Setup.

I'm having trouble setting up my keyboard for Doom v1.2. I go into the 'Setup' screen but F10 won't work to finalize the settings. Therefore I'm unable to set up the keys A&D to be used for strafe. I'm using Winxp if that means anything. 🙁 Hope someone can help.

Mmm... Checking the DOSBox keyboard mapper (CTRL+F1), it says F10 is set as F10 by default, and therefore it should work fine.

Anyway, you can try using said keyboard mapper to map F10 to any other unused key and see if that solves the issue, or you can try some of the wonderful Windows ports for Doom, such as ZDoom, if you're only into "Doom" for the gameplay, or Doom Legacy., if you're not against pimping up DOS games.

Thanks Neville. I'm a total newbie to dosbox. I assume I need to access the Dosbox window to access the mapper. How do I access the window? 😕

Just press CTRL+F1 whenever DOSBox is running, that will bring up the mapper. And read the docs, that can't hurt either.
