Hey all,
I don’t know if any of you have any experience with these older machines but I was gifted one of these today complete with multiple batteries and a fresh loft aroma that everyone knows!
I was advised that whilst it powers on there is no activity and this after testing is correct. Apparently it worked six months ago but now there’s no display output.
I’ve cleaned up the motherboard which had a small amount of nicad spill from one of the battery packs, replaced the cmos battery and it still refuses to play ball.
I have access to a parallel post code card, which displays 0 or 1 and FF but it doesn’t seem to do much for else. The only thing of note on the hardware itself that looks like it might be causing an issue is in the picture attached to the post. Can any of you tell me what this is and if it looks dead?
Thanks for any tips or ideas you might have below are some more shots of the innards if helpful!
