BreakNeck (N.I.C.E. 2 / Excessive Speed) 1998 - ATi Rage Pro is supported
https://www.mobygames.com/game/493/breakneck/

BreakNeck is The sequel to Have a N.I.C.E. day!

Had a lot of improvements: instead of 3 cars you're now able to choose between more than 42 cars, 24 tracks with 96 variations and a lot of new race modes. The most significant feature is the new powerful graphic engine, it's able to display a lot more polygons and has some nice new effects (plus 3d accelerator support).

N.I.C.E. 2: Tune-Up (1999) / N.I.C.E. 2: King Size (2000) ATi Rage Pro is supported

https://www.mobygames.com/game/41602/nice-2-tune-up/
https://www.mobygames.com/game/45002/nice-2-king-size/

N.I.C.E. 2: Tune-Up is an add-on for N.I.C.E. 2 (BreakNeck). It ships with all benefits from the patches for N.I.C.E. 2, especially an arcade mode and further optimisation for 3D graphic cards. Add-on exclusive content are six new courses in Canada and northern Italy, and a new vehicle class with four German cars like the "Firewolf Turbo" with 400 hp. The rest consists of smaller changes like a random start position in duel races or bonus points for the fastest round.

Strange that the original N I C E2 (BreakNeck) version have multiple language options and the Tune-Up is only available in German. Someone has made Tune-Up language fix for the English base game?
Here is latestes English patch for (BreakNeck): https://www.patches-scrolls.de/patch/664/7/39294/download

I am not sure if they are really the same (RagePro vs. RageLtPro) because the RageLtPro fails in amithlon while RagePro seems to be fine in VESA.

If i am not talking about Mac versions of the cards:

One more small difference is that usually Rage Pro supports its maximum resolution at 1600x1200, but Rage LT Pro may have support for 1600x1280. I add more Refresh rates and resolutions to my driver, but they do work or not, shows time. Widescreens dont work on early Rage cards, but 4:3 and 5:4 should work. Rage LT Pro adds automatically dual screen, even if i have 1 vga output. XPert@Play has two, with its TV-OUT. Detecting Rage LT Pro with Actua Soccer (ATi 3D Rage Edition) also fails, but its the only DOS CIF and Only CIF game that does not work on newer CIF cards, for that you need Rage/RageII/Rage2c.

Refresh rates should go up to 200hz, but are the newer 144hz / 165hz options possible to add and give they any real benefits on lower resolutions for such old cards, just thinking about resolution / monitor support. Rage XL AGP / Rage XL PCI acts the same way in DOS, like regular Rage Pro at least with ATi Actua Soccer and i have not seen any difference in other DOS games. RageLT/RageLTPro may have some differences there.

Rage and RageLTpro both work in VESA mode, but the Rage (PCI) can switch resolutions like 320x240 and 640x480, where the RageLtPro (AGP) can not. You only get the resolution you set on start, no switching possible. So there must be a difference, perhaps only the interface (AGP/PCI) that prevents the RageLtPro from fully functioning in amithlon. (btw acceleration do not work on both. The later Radeons have some sort of acceleration in amithlon, Nvidia or Matrox are the better choice here.

I think the Problem in Amithlon (Linux<Handshake>AmigaOS Picasso96) is the different Interface. Switching Resolutions in VESA-Desktop-Mode does only work on Rage PCI. So for an Retro-Gamer a Rage Pro PCI is a really fantastic card. Lot's of obscure OS support too (like BeOS, Next, Rhapsody...)

Rage Pro AGP and Rage Pro 2xAGP is the same as Rage Pro PCI? Many OS support is their unique feature set thats not sticks out (Sun and Mac ATi Rage3 cards are special cards, not PC compatible)

I am not talking about Mac cards here. I am talking about PC Cards. PCI/AGP RagePro, vs. Onboard RageLtPro always? AGP).
What I need to retest is RagePro PCI vs. AGP in Amithlon. All I can say is that RagePro PCI works with mode-switching and RageLtPro Onboard does not.

Exlusive driver / os support not out of Win9x, Win 3.1, NT 3.5x, NT 4.0, 2000/XP OS, maybe even Vista/Win7 (Rage3 cards have them + not Mac / Sun cards either).

SiN (1998) - ATiRagePro is supported
https://www.mobygames.com/game/322/sin/

SiN: Wages of Sin (1999) - SiN Addon - ATiRagePro is supported
https://www.mobygames.com/game/2459/sin-wages-of-sin/

Did not know that Sin (1998) had special OpenGL mode for Rage and its made for Rage Pro. Time when SiN 1.0 released ATi was still using Rage MiniGL
Patch 1.05/1.06 got some 3DNow optimizations or bug fixes for AMD. Latest Patch for PC 1.11. https://sintek.fandom.com/wiki/Version_History_(SiN)

Video Driver: You have seven choices under Video Driver. These are Software, Default OpenGL, 3Dfx OpenGL, ATI Rage OpenGL, Riva OpenGL, Verite OpenGL, and PowerVR OpenGL.

ATI Rage OpenGL: Use the ATI Rage Pro OpenGL mini-driver on systems with an ATI Rage Pro 3D accelerator.
We recommend that you use the latest ATI Rage Pro drivers, which are obtainable from ATI’s website directly
at w w w.atitech.c o m

Time to try it at Default OpenGL vs ATi Rage OpenGL at some point in future and i have used it with Defaut OpenGL, not knowing there
was Rage Pro option there. Maybe OpenGL32.dll (ATi MiniGL 1036 is optimized for that game or newer ICD are better, like OpenGL 1073)

My recollection is that like Quake 2, the latest full opengl ICD performs better and has better image quality than the mini driver. The one supplied with the game is just one of the mini drivers from ATI which you will already have.

I have played it in the past, does it make difference to use ATi Rage OpenGL vs Default OpenGL from menu? Still gona try it soon out with SiN.
Quake 2 had special OpenGL option in the menu for 3DNow, probably started with 3.19 or 3.20 Q2 update.Lets see what it brings to the table.

Edit:
Supplied file is ragegl.dll, its renamed OpenGL32.dll (MiniGL version 1036). Just use any OpenGL you like&use it.
Probably best to use later patches 1.10 / 1.11 and heres 4 pages of settings to set up this game as someone likes.

Microsoft Inernational Soccer 2000 (1999) - ATi Rage Pro mentioned@txt
Also named many other names and Microsoft International Football 2000
https://www.mobygames.com/game/3346/microsoft … al-soccer-2000/

Recommended for optimal performance:
Pentium 200 MHz or faster processor
64 MB of RAM
60 MB of available hard-disk space for typical install
Direct3D-supported graphics adapter with 4MB video RAM or greater
Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad or other gaming controller

Recommendations for ATI Rage Pro cards: If you have a 3D card that uses the ATI Rage Pro graphics engine (e.g. Xpert@Play, Xpert 98), you may get better performance by installing the latest
driver from the ATI Web site (http://www.atitech.com/). This driver should be used instead of the one that ships with Windows 95 or Windows 98. Full readme added (msif2k-readme.txt).
