I've been at old pc repair for a couple years now and just been a lurker here. I picked up my first computer with massive battery damage and it's a mac lc. the 50 pin hd connector corroded through, and I can;t seem to find the right search terms on mouser. What should i be looking for? 50 pin scsi male ribbon board connector

"IDC" is the connector type to search for.

Thanks. IDC was a new term for me. That got me going into the right direction.
Does this look correct? other than googling the pin spacing to see that it needed to be 0.1" I'm not sure what else to check.

That one says low profile, this one does not

I'm guessing either would work but I'm not seeing the difference on the data sheets

Cool, I was hoping it would lead to the associated board headers.

Yes, 0.1" or 2.54mm pin spacing - I should have mentioned that. It is a very common size use for inter-board connections in many things - PC, audio/video, appliances, Raspberry Pi GPIO, etc.

I think that looks correct, but I haven't personally done SCSI. Hmmm, I'm not seeing any difference in measurements on the data sheets. That leaves me wondering what does "low profile" actually mean.
