I'm running the DOS version of Abe's Oddysee and this game suffers with a lot of distortion on the PC version using Soundblaster 16. I even tried running it through Windows 98 and I still get the odd distortion effects. Any ideas how these can be fixed? I notice audio defects especially when Abe enters the bird portal:
