i'm using a 2012 macbook pro for music and writing, and 10.15 is starting to wear down on my battery, memory, and tiny ssd

i'm sure most of you enjoy using custom installers for windows xp/7/10/11 that surgically remove a lot of useless programs and features
(especially the ones microsoft INSISTS windows won't work without)
looking around the internet it seems to me there never was a similar utility made for osx, even though i have plenty of garbage in my apps folder

and as far as i can tell, app cleaning utilities are unreliable and don't do much more than what i can do manually
am i not looking hard enough?

Using Activity monitor (in Utilities folder) you can track apps with high power consumption and think later what to do with this.
