Hi!! exactly this, i tested jemm386 from config.sys or command line on some pentium PCs, P1, P2, K6, etc and work fine, for example games like Aladdin or lemmings 2 that need EMS,work great

But in 3 different 386 boards i have, 386SX40 SARC chipset, 386DX40 VLSI and 486DLC33 Opti, i can get jemm386 to work correctly... load yes, but or i get graphic glitches, like in aladdin, or directly dont work, like lemmings, that i just get a black screen

Maybe despite the name... jemm386 need Pentium+ ?¿

thanks

It is probably grabbing memory space that it should leave alone. There should be switches to exclude whatever memory areas you need to exclude.

hi thanks i tested X=C000-CFFF, X=D000-DFFF, X=C800-CFFF, X=D800-DFFF JEMM386 loads, but I still get the same problems

tried different EMS frames
FRAME=C800
FRAME=D000
FRAME=E000

No change, same glitches

Any ideas?

If you aren't already using it, try himemx instead of regular himem.

xmgr, himemx, himemx2, pcdos himem386, and others, same

but in all pentium machines i have, despite chipset, jemm386 work perfect without any parameter, just "load"

No idea, tested in 4x pentium boards, all sucess, 3x 386 boards all fail

I have no more 386 boards to test

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.
