Have seen this card. Seaching the www, i cannot see any review about this card with DDR2 ram...

This is still quite solid, right?

MSI Geforce 7600GT - 512MB,AGP, DDR2

looking on voodooalert 3dmark benchmark tables, it is:
~ equal to an overclocked 6800GT in 3dmark01SE.
~ rougly over an overclocked 6600GT in 3dmark03.

3DMark 2001 means nothing on these cards. It's a CPU benchmark. But yeah, it has Hynix 2.5ns memory so this will most likely nicely OC up to 1+ GHz and going to be better 6600GT.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

are you sure that it is going 'nicely OC up to 1+ Ghz' ??

chatgpt is saying...

Memory: Hynix 2.5 ns DDR2 is rated for about 800 MHz effective (400 MHz actual DDR clock). Theoretical rating for 2.5 ns memory is 800 MHz effective.
Memory: 800 MHz (stock on many DDR2 cards)
830 MHz
850 MHz
875 MHz (if stable)
900 MHz is possible on some cards, but many Hynix 2.5 ns chips begin to artifact before that.

Why do you ask people if you go with what LLM's say anyway?

Don't understand why people need to make such hostile replies if they see the word LLM or AI. He asks for confirmation and even included a link next to what AI said.

From my experience I never got it stable above around 900MHz with those cards. But unfortunately don't remember the exact ns value from the memory chips those cards had installed.

Well, this ask for AI was just a test...
I've searched before for some review's or comment's in forum....
But i've not found something really useful for this maybe not common card.... (7 series, AGP , DDR2 , GT chip ... )
I am asking if maybe someone here has exactly this card and can confirm what AI is writing there...

2.5ns memory is rated for 400MHz ( 1000 / 2.5 ). Since it’s double data rate, the effective speed will be 800MHz. Whether it will go any higher than that and by how much will depend on silicon lottery. I would imagine that after 450 (900) MHz, most chips will hit a wall.
