Good afternoon dear fellow enthusiasts. Its my first post within the community, which I find very helpful. I have AM386DX40 in Micro Express FRX46C411/402 motherboard with Trident TVGA8900C, 512 kb, 20MB RAM, 180MB HDD, 3,5 and 5,25FDD and recently I have managed to get myself a MATROX HIPER+/WIN 0472-00 ISA with S3 Carrera 924 Chipset and 1MB VRAM (there was a local online auction so a momentary decision for an attractive price) https://www.dosdays.co.uk/topics/Manufacturer … ox/hyperwin.php and have found drivers https://video.matrox.com/en/apps/drivers/grap … previous/legacy
I would like to ask for experience / drivers (confirmation I found good one) / tips on configuration and replacement of my current TVGA8900. I am running MS DOS 6.22 and Win3.1.
Looking forward to any tips or information, as infosources here, on S3 page or DosDays are very sparse.
