Good Morning, I'm an italian boy. Sorry for my bad english.

I want to run 64hhd dos software on the dosbox:

http://www.64hdd.com

But the 64hdd software crash on the dosbox 0.72 and write this message:

EMS memory error. Please load qemm386 for possible solution.

Can i load qemm386 on the dosbox?

The dosbox play the lpt port?

Why? Can't you run it in Windows? Or don't you have Windows?

EMS memory error. Please load qemm386 for possible solution.

Is EMS enabled in dosbox.conf? How about XMS?

AFAICT it makes no sense at all to use 64HDD with Dosbox. The program is used to connect the real Commodore 64 with the PC so the C64 uses the PC as a kind of hard drive and is able to load C64 disk/tape/whatever images stored on the PC. As it connects via the printer port you can forget about this. Standard Dosbox can not make use of the printer port. There is a special version of Dosbox around that may work when Windows is the host system but even then you are likely to run into timing problems....

Thank you for the answers.

Giulio, I think the easiest solution for you is to buy an extra harddisk, maybe an external USB disk with 60-100 GB. Format the extra disk as FAT-32, and boot 644HD from the special CD-ROM:

http://www.64hdd.com/64hdd/64hdd-cd.html#

Btw: 64HDD supports reading NTFS file systems:

(...)if you have any NTFS drives, the NTFSDOS driver is loaded, and the remaining drives "mounted". The NTFSDOS driver is only a read-only driver. This means it will be impossible to corrupt your Windows system, but also means that you will not be able to save programs to these drives either.
