Yes it does remind of a 3dfx a bit. It's an "Aristo" rebranded PC Chips card. There were a lot of these rebrand cards apparently back then. Sometimes it makes it difficult to identify them precisely.

Somehow a CPU I purchased from an Ebay seller in Maryland (originally estimated to be delivered last Monday) has ended up at a distribution center in Guam.

I found this 2 modules
They were installed in some high end SCSI controller cards that were in very bad shape so I trashed them

They seem to be 50ns and 16mb each
It is really the first time I see 50ns EDO ram

Found this "PCI Radeon 9200 128MB" on a local website, I kind of want a PCI Radeon card and these are supposed to be better than the 9250 but not sure if its 64bit or 128bit?

It doesn't look like the one listed here and those empty ram pads doesn't fill me with confidence. I didn't buy it yet just wondered if anyone maybe had an idea.

First: 9200 and 9250 are GPU wise the same, no difference apart of from the 10MHz higher clock of the 9200 vs 9250.

Your card looks interesting, it's 64bit, because it appears on both sides one memory channel is not populated with memory chips. However everything else, like decoupling capacitors, series termination resistor groups - so it's really just the memory itself that is missing.

Yeah it's very interesting they sometimes made these budget variants like this ... most often they were not made in "full-height" when using 64-bit and fewer chips. These look like they were assembled from whatever was lying around the warehouse 🤣.

Fooling with my Slot A system, I realized the single fan cooler on the 800 Thunderbird I have is barely adequate, so I look for a twin fan cooler and find one. I get it on order, then Ebay shows a listing for a 700 MHz Pluto that has a twin fan cooler - with shipping it's the same as the cooler alone. It's listed as non working, so I buy it. It arrived today, and it works perfectly.

Yeah I'll pass I think. What I would really like is the 9100 PCI but that is insanely hard to find.

"Won" a game of "coupon chess/poker" against Temu that got me a 50 pack of case screws and a roll of knockoff Kapton for $10CDN shipped. They seem pretty nice, no burrs, well formed threads (actually better threads than a lot I've seen original to cases) and well formed crosspoint slots in case you manage to get them flesh-stripping tight. So used in pairs on side panels should do me 25 cases, hope I don't come up with more "keepers" than that 🤣

I am still trying to mentally process how to post about my most recent acquisition. It consists of a whole bunch of items that I'm sure most won't even care about here because they are "newer" (2004-2009, roughly), but I think a lot of GPU collectors will understand what a ridiculous find this is. Of course, the caveat is that all of the cards have been stripped of their heatsinks... which is a massive bummer, but... it is hard to be even remotely upset about finding one card from this series, let alone so many, and of so many different models.

It honestly must have either been someone's intentional collection, or an accidental heap of "no one really wants these" cards that ended up going to e-waste decades ago and were, miraculously, not destroyed or even separated from each other after all these years.

I will post more once I actually have them in my possession. It will probably be early next week.
