I’m trying to run a multiplayer session of the game, but it keeps crashing on one or more of the computers.

I've done some research at this seems to be a known issue that had not been solved by anyone, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to see if anyone had found some way to keep it stable.

I used to play the game lots with 2-3 people running Win 95, Win 98, NT and even XP but I don't have easy access to any of them and even if I did it would be a pain to setup multiple desktop units in different areas just for this game. So, I've been trying to make it work across 4 laptops.

Any help would be appreciated.
