I have flickering issue at car shadows with some of the dirver car views, but not all of them at Test Drive 5. Newer game like Test Drive 6 or Demolition Racer has no issues for me.
Whats bit strange that Demolition Racer readme states that it has no support for ATi Rage Pro, like Xpert@Play, but the game runs and works fine, at least with ATi Rage XL card.

Do the early AIW RagePro AGP/PCI card have a hardware dvd-encoder? some sort of "zoran" chip, what about those exklusive dvd-games, do they work with it?

There is no mpeg2 hardware encoding for any Rage card i think, hardware encoding was not available for such old cards back then.
AIW Rage Pro = TV tuner with some input/output options+its Rage Pro.ATi marketed ATiDVD with Win95 OSR2 or newer with AGP.
Partial DVD acceleration will work with all Rage Pro based AGP cards and compatible software, like ATiDVD (use MC12 at decoding)
Full mpeg2 hardware acceleration DVD playback support starts with Rage128/AIW Rage128,they have Hardware iDCT Acceleration.

ATI Rage Pro YUY2, YV12, IF09, YVU9, UYVY, VBID (AGP version of controller includes MC12, motion compensation)

Another game with ATi 3D logo at its back cover.Game release date was at april 1998.
Even if the game does not exactly mention Rage Pro, its was the latest card available.
Playstation did not get Plane Crazy final port, it was cancelled before it was released.
