Been trying to get into Blood again recently, and remembered it has FMV cutscenes. I can't get them to play on OUW, though. I tried first from the CD, even with the paths set right in BLOOD.INI, the intro stuff didn't load at all.
1.0 loads the cutscenes, but they move really slowly. I also tried copying the cutscenes over to the hard disk, still the issue isn't corrected.

I should mention this is on the Dell Dimension L566cx using SBEMU with the experimental VDPMI build. Strangely this doesn't happen with the last stable build.
The other difference is that the stable SBEMU runs using JemmEx, whereas the VDPMI build I have to use HiMemX. Does that make it a memory issue?

Any advice is appreciated.

My guess would be your video card not being fully VESA compatible and the FMVs are attempting to use some unsupported video mode.
Are you running in pure dos or within windows?
Have you tried running the game on an external monitor (I’m assuming you’re using the laptop built in screen)?
Have you tried using one if those TSRs such as UNIVBE or your video card equivalent?
