Try different output=.... settings in the DOSBox configuration file.
And try to match the fullresolution=..... setting to the resolution of the your screen.

I've been using DOSBox for a while now, and I've got a few things to say. First, it is a really good porgram, very useful, not just for games, I use it for some of my classes, as those classes use QBasic.

I have a portable version of QBasic running on a flash drive, it also has the Linux DOSBox running on it as well, so I can access my programs from both Windows and Linux machines. I've seen a few oddities. aside from that odd bug, I havn't seen any big bugs, but I would like to know how long it could be until TCP/IP is possible, as I would like to use DOSBox for web browsing...

Now that I have a working version of Windows 3.1, and DOS, I'm going to pull out all of those old Floppy disks with those games on them, and see what works 😀

EDIT: I forgot to say that Windows 3.1 runs flawlessly on my 2.1 GHZ Ubuntu Linux machine, but it is VERY sluggish on a Dual Core 2.4 GHZ Windows machine, could anyone tell me what's going on?

You can use HAL9000's build for TCP/IP. Not sure if he has a linux build on there though.

Windows 3.1 works fine on my Windows machine. Make sure your dosbox.conf is setup properly.

I see that there is no Linux version of that program compiled, but there's a file that I should be able to add to a CVS Download, and get that support. To do that though, I need help, as I don't know how to work with a CVS, I do know how to download from a SVN 😅

The two dosbox.conf files are exactly the same until I get to the autoexec part, in which the commands are either for Windows or Linux, are there any issues with Dual core processers? I havn't tried on the Windows part of my machine yet...

Also, are there any drivers for the TCP/IP for Windows 3.1? I don't know if I have a copy of Windows 95 that I can put on DOSBox at this time...

Windows 95 isn't supported in DOSBox and not very stable. The latest version of Windows that may work fairly well in DOSBox is Windows 95b and that's just Windows itself. Applications running in Windows 95b in DOSBox may be hit or miss. Better off just using a VM that supports Windows.

I'm more or less thinking of just using windows 3.1, and DOS Apps

if it's possible to get windows 95, I may try it at some point, but I'd like to get networking working first, I found a old copy of netscape for windows 3.1, so I want to see if I can get that working
