Anti-piracy outfit Denuvo has filed a DMCA anti-circumvention lawsuit in a U.S. federal court, targeting the anonymous game cracker known as 'voices38.' The defendant stands accused of bypassing Denuvo's digital locks on more than two dozen games, including Hogwarts Legacy and Black Myth: Wukong. As the case moves forward, the company will likely subpoena Reddit, Discord, and Valve for the cracker's identifying information.

IMO, Valve should talk to the publisher to get the DRM removed from those games and if not delist the games. Put your money where your mouth is Gabe since "Piracy is a service problem".

Denuvo argues that, since its entire business revolves around selling tamper protection to game companies including EA, Ubisoft, Capcom, and Sony, the cracks are directly hurting its business.

Too bad so sad, they should know the well would have to run dry at some point.

IMO, the case should be thrown out (unless they get the copyright owners to participate) or resubmit their complaint focusing on their DRM software which still wouldn't work since 1201 is about protecting the work, there is nothing protecting the DRM. It's up to the copyright owner to protect their work and all the complaint does is mention the copyright owner of the games which aren't participating in the lawsuit.
