Hey all,
I have a Mylex MAE486 motherboard https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/mylex-mae486-25-33 with a dead DS1225Y chip. This is the one that saves the EISA config file. A new one would be costly for me in Canada so I looked up this FRAM adapter project.. I checked out the datasheet for this FRAM chip and it has the same pinout as the DS1225Y. I got someone with years more experience than me to solder the project together but it's not working out. When I boot the computer, of course I get an error about invalid EISA config. So I run the EISA config utility but when I go to save it, it gives me an error saying the NVRAM can't be cleared and the config wasn't saved.
Any ideas why this isn't working for me?
