Interesting, what is the end goal of these projects? Porting to newer systems? Adding features to old dos releases?

The priority is to make the game's graphics editable in Photoshop and
to be able to restore and write them back in their original format without corrupting the files.
No porting to a new system , no adding new content — just graphics ;
there won't be any other developments for now .. ?! who knows.. ?

By the way, I just noticed another developer is working on turning *Alien Breed* into an open-source game
( This has absolutely no connection to my project ; we are proceeding completely "independently" ).
However, that project aims to build a game from scratch , and the developer mentioned that progress is very slow and there is no working version yet.
My focus isn't on creating a game ; rather, my project is about making the "graphics" of the existing *AB:TA* game = m0d!fiable .
