Recently I played and completed an old adventure game "Curse of Enchantia". Even with all mixed reviews, it was fun experience, although there were some moments of frustration. Like many Sierra games of that time, this game has a score system for actions. I completed first playthrough with 457 points (95%), then pulled up a solution and attempted a 100% run, just to end with 473 points (98%). Went through all solutions and walkthroughs available on the internet, even looked into Amiga version - nothing. Frustrated, I started looking into game code. Sure enough, I found percentage calculation function and there it is - 0x1DE (478) points. After finding all places in code I went through game more thoroughly and ended up with 475 points total, still lacking a few points of 100%. The theory of there being a gem and coin hidden somewhere went away after I documented all in game items and their actions in game code.
Currently I am stuck, as there seems to be no place in code that adds more points to the total score. Considering the comedy tone of the game, it would be very on brand that reaching 100% is impossible, as a joke.

Did anyone else ran into this issue? Is it a bug in game or result of some cut content at the end of development cycle? Maybe anyone played more recent release of this game, e.g. 1995 CD release, and the bug is fixed there? I have floppy version from 1992, and there seems to be no patches available.

I played the floppy disk version. I tried collecting all gems and the hidden ones in the first dungeon, plus the all the stones in the caves. There were a few skippable events too that I didn't know whether they should be done or not. Buying meat just to eat it... and what's up with that shop where you enter just to be instructed out right away.. talking to all people (HI!)..

So in my mind I never expected that I could finish the game 100%.

There are also puzzles that require precision or else you mess up. For example picking up the bag of pebbles from over the cloud.. if you do it wrong you fall.. probably in that case your reattempt won't get a full score? Same with getting "killed" in the graveyards or in front of the final witch.

The huge piles of stuff can be collected from again after consuming the first item? (never tried this)

Too many things to lose score over.. but I agree, with all the mysteriousness of the game and its unserious nature, it wouldn't be unexpected if they made the full score unachievable.
