I have a Tandy hi-res monitor with a cut video cord. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a new donor 9-pin cable to buy as a replacement? Nice wire, good gauge, all the connectiors, etc?

I'm fine with soldering or making a new connector on the donor cable, but I'd like to see if anyone has a brand or model they like to use for this.

Some 9pin serial cables have all 9 pins populated, for TTL, so long as they are grounded/shielded they should work .

If the end of the cord is cut and the cord is still long enough to reach you could buy a replacement 9 pin serial end housing and just repin.

If you want to get fancy you can buy the 9 pin serial end housing and a vga cable and rewire both ends with some extra wires left disconnected

It's cut right at the case (rescued from ewaste), so I'll completely re-do the cabling.

I'd like to leave it a 9-pin, I guess I'll just look for one that has all the pins.
