This driver are included:

USB mass storage (flash drives, hard disks) — including GPT formatted sticks and large media; they show up as a normal drive letter. (ntfs3.1 and exfat come later, but is finished)
USB keyboard and mouse — fully integrated into NT (kbdclass/mouclass), including mouse buttons 4–8 and special keys (F13–F24, media: volume up/down/mute, launch programs). (Not programmable; preselection only - later)
USB gamepads/joysticks — including Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers, with rumble; a Control Panel applet to test them. ( works with freespace 1 and 2, depending on the game)
USB printers (IPP over USB). (my printer is to far away, an you need cupsd4nt - other thread)
Controllers: UHCI, OHCI (USB 1.1), EHCI (USB 2.0), xHCI (USB 3.x); one combined driver (usbnt.sys) or one driver per controller type. - works with intel on virtualbox an Necusb3
Device Manager (standalone): shows PCI and USB devices in one tree, with descriptors, classes and drivers; PCI plain-text names from a bundled PCI.IDS that can be updated over HTTP(S).
Control Panel: dedicated tabs for USB mouse buttons, keyboard special keys, and a joystick applet.

The files do things to make them work; back then that was okay, but today it looks like a false positive.

It would be great to get some feedback

That's true right now, but I'll make a note of it

It's quite tricky to know which driver to use, none of them seem to have version numbers listed.

I would:

  1. Update post #2 to have the latest driver attached with the version number being specified
  2. Update Post #2 to list all the feature added and from which version
  3. Delete all the other .ZIP files

Are there any systems that you would like it tested on?

Should it work on my ASUS P6T SE which has ICH10R. On NT4 only 4 CPUs show up, have you tested it on an MP system?

Do the USB Root Hubs show up as HCDn devices and does my SIV utility [USB Bus] panel work correctly? It uses such as IOCTL_USB_GET_DESCRIPTOR_FROM_NODE_CONNECTION + IOCTL_USB_GET_ROOT_HUB_NAME + IOCTL_USB_GET_NODE_CONNECTION_NAME + IOCTL_USB_GET_NODE_CONNECTION_DRIVERKEY_NAME + IOCTL_USB_GET_NODE_CONNECTION_INFORMATION_EX/IOCTL_USB_GET_NODE_CONNECTION_INFORMATION + IOCTL_USB_GET_NODE_INFORMATION + IOCTL_USB_GET_HUB_CAPABILITIES_EX + etc..

file.php?id=250056

Note: [DOS Devices] + [USB Bus] are from when the system was running W10 and would be the same on W2K and later.

Thank you for your partial reply, I can't see a version number defined list of changes in Re: USB 1 2 3 ( OHCI EHCI XHCI) Controller driver for NT4 or a .ZIP file with version numbers. What am I missing?

I also can't see any information as to if the SIV [USB Bus] panel works, please post a screen shot.

1) Install USB STACK in VirtualBox and check it with Canon MF-428 in USB mode with your CUPS - everything looks OK!
2) Check all my USB thumb-drives - sad but system see it as removable drives but with 0 bytes capacity (they are formatted as FAT16 or FAT32)
3) Same time USB-CF reader reads CF card 256MB FAT16 - OK

use the stick gpt or mbr?
perfect, canon was recognized, but the correct driver isn't recognized. You could try one of the Linux PPDs or the pcl5.
thank
usb: - muss read vendor device id for driver search

.text + .data are marked as paged, they should not be, further paged code should be in PAGE, it should be linked with -MERGE:.rdata=.text and DriverEntry() should be in INIT.

file.php?id=250105

I don't feel it's wise to use the V2026.09.27.5 driver until this is corrected in all the .sys files and won't try them on any of my systems.

The SIVNT4.sys Linker Options
NT4\hal.lib NT4\ntoskrnl.lib /nologo /base:"0x10000" /version:4.0 /entry:"DriverEntry@8" /incremental:no /pdb:"..\SIVNT4.pdb" /debug /machine:I386 /nodefaultlib /out:"..\SIVNT4.sys" -MERGE:_PAGE=PAGE -MERGE:_TEXT=.text -SECTION:INIT,d -OPT:REF -FORCE:MULTIPLE -RELEASE -FULLBUILD -IGNORE:4001,4037,4039,4065,4070,4078,4087,4089,4096 -debug:notmapped,MINIMAL -osversion:4.00 -MERGE:.rdata=.text -optidata -driver -align:0x1000 -subsystem:native,4.00

Everything OK
It looks like it was my mistake with FAT32 thumb-drives - FAT32 volumes just don't work on my setup and real rig

PS. What is the best/modern way/drivers for FAT32 currently (Winternals FAT32 just crash my system)?
